Red Bird Loop

Trail Summaries & Loop Options

Red Bird Trail – Approx. 3.4 miles, moderate. Scenic bluff-top route with views over Lake Winnebago, a mix of forest and open areas, and great fall color.
Lime-Kiln Trail – Approx. 1.7 miles, moderate. Rocky, root-filled path that passes historic lime kiln ruins and quarry features, with short climbs and varied terrain.
Indian Mound Trail – Approx. 0.6 miles, easy. Mostly level, paved path that highlights Native American effigy mounds and is friendly for families, strollers, and many mobility levels.
Red Bird / Lime-Kiln Loop – About 4.7–5 miles, moderate to challenging in spots. Combines bluff and lakeshore areas into a longer loop with diverse scenery, good for a half-day hike.
